Academic Programme

ANCB offers a full annual programme of conferences, workshops and seminars in which participants are challenged to address the complex issues facing tomorrow’s generation of city makers. In workshop units of two to four weeks, participating universities engage in a full academic programme with studio visits from architects, artists and specialist planners. In order to encourage public debate as well as the cross-pollination of ideas, ANCB ensures the outcomes of units are readily accessible through an annual publication and exhibition. An annual conference also provides the opportunity for participating faculty to evaluate the year’s work and to discuss any organisational issues.

Extra Curricular

In parallel with its core programme, the ANCB also organises Season Academies for students from all over the world. These are run by one or several figures of international standing. Experts from the fields of architecture, urban planning and related disciplines are invited to direct in-depth workshops running from one to several weeks geared to students and graduates in their respective disciplines. These workshops are accompanied by lectures, talks, round table discussions and seminars held by relevant speakers from the ANCB network and elsewhere. Please note that partners are also welcome to run their own workshops and summer schools at the ANCB campus.
